The prostate is an organ of the genital and it is a very complx structure that it is a compound exocrine gland of the male.

The prostate has a very different features in following aspectes, chemical, physiological, anatomical.

 

Function

Storage and secretion of clear and alkaline fluid of seminal fluid. The alkaline seminal fluid neutralize acidity of vaginal tract and nurish sperms.

Secretions

Protein, enzyme, phosphate acid, PSA, zinc are the main contents of prostate fluid.

Structure

Walnut size of the prostate surround urethra and is under the bladder. Prostatic urethra are the urethra from the bladder and to carry urine and semen. The prostate is situated in the muscle of pelvic floor and contract during ejaculatory process.
