Urethral Perfusion for Prostatitis

Almost all prostatitis patients have complications of some sort, for instance, seminal vesicle infection, epididymitis, UTI, etc.

So what is the relations between prostatitis and UTI? During early stage, UTI infection gradually developed into prostatitis, and patients start to take oral antibiotics, so it virtually kills all pathogens except those hiding in prostate glands and seminal vesicles. The growth of pathogens has made some of them out of the prostate glands and into the urethra and re infect the urethra again. The process go on and off and will never end. So when treating prostatitis, the urethra is still infected and if the pathogens are strong, patients may experience urethra symptoms.

As some patients complain about UTI symptoms, the doctor would start a urethral perfusion treatment. The urethral perfusion treatment last for about 10-15 days and is usually done after injections.

First, some tools ar needed, such as a syringe, a catheter, medicine. Patient is asked to empty the bladder first, then they will lay down on the bed. A catheter is inserted into the urethra and then a syringe filled with medicine pump the medicine into the urethra. When it is done, a metal clipper is used to lock the urethra into an isolated space so that the medicine works in that area and avoid spill out by irritation from the patients.

Usually this type of treatment is very effective and direct because the medicine is concentrated in that small space and the resistance of microorganisms is weak.

This type of treatment actually is best for simple UTI infections. Say if you just found out that something is wrong with your urethra, if you take oral antibiotics, there are chances that it may not be strong enough to stop it from reaching the prostate, or simply not effective with resistant strains. In the end, you may develop prostatitis.

If you take urethral perfusion immediately after noticing symptoms, the effect is direct and overwhelming. It kills virtually all pathogens, even those antibiotics resistant strains. 7-10 days are enough to get rid of the pathogens. And your body and liver is not damaged by antibiotics.

However, people don't realize that problem and they still stick to the traditional treatment. If the urologists give patients another option, this will greatly reduce the chances of developing prostatitis.
