Efficacy of Home BPH Herbal TreatmentEfficacy Evaluation
Possibly the most effective TCM herbal treatment in the area of prostate BPH. It is very effective in acting directly on the enlarged prostate to reduce inflammation, pain and throb. Clinical trials have shown this formula of herbs is helpful in unblocking the prostate and reducing inflammation of the prostate in cases of BPH. The herbs inhibits the action DHT, the compound thought to be responsible (in part) for the enlargement of the prostate. In sub-hypertrophied cases, it reduce swelling to some significant degree, but in case of true hypertrophy it is also effective that the herb brings relief by decreasing gland size or by reducing pain and swelling. It also increases the bladder’s ability to contract and expel urine.Herbal treatment is so effective in treating BPH that it is used by thousands of Chinese patients each year. During the course of a three-year study involving 109 men, herbal treatment was associated with a significant increase in urinary flow rate and a 80 percent decrease in residual urine volume. Furthermore, improvement in quality of life was reported, “which reflected in the over 80 percent good to very good efficacy judgments.” By comparison, Proscar study showed a 30-percent decrease in symptom scores over three years, but urine flow improved only slightly, and residual urine volume was almost unchanged. Only one-third of the treated patients had “clinically relevant improvement,” and only after six months. Clearly, herbal treatment offers superior symptomatic relief in BPH.
Compared with other herbal treatment such as saw palmetto, Pygeum africanum, Cernilton, Proscar, Hytrin, the herbal treatment for BPH is more consistent, thorough and potent. The herbal treatment could improve symptoms significantly for patients not satisfied with these herbs such as saw palmetto, Pygeum africanum and other herbal therapies.
Chinese herbal medicine is more successful in treating chronic diseases because its treatment focuses on restoring balance of the body rather than treating the symptoms.
