Comprehensive Laboratory Tests and Exams
On the first day of arrival at our prostatitis treatment center, a comprehensive laboratory tests and exams must be done to all prostatitis patients.
This is to save one day's time so that patients could get the results the next day and start treatment with no delay.
The comprehensive tests are the most complicated and thorough tests on prostatitis related diseases, including virus, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma, Chlamydia, Yeast, Candida and a dozen of bacteria.
The comprehensive tests are very critical on finding the cause of prostatitis and identifying pathogens that are causing problems. Correct identification of microorganisms helps in selection of medicine and strategies in treatment.
The tests include culture tubes to isolate Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma and bacteria. Blood test to find out Chlamydia and virus.
Also there are some lab tests including DRE to find out texture and size of prostate, semen analysis, prostatic fluid analysis to find out white blood cells and lecithin.
There is another Ultrasound scan that tracks the size and deformation of prostate glands, the size of seminal vesicles and the sperm ducts.
The comprehensive tests is probably the most accurate lab tests available in the world because the sample used for testing is gathered from semen, DRE. The technique for draining the microorganisms out of the core of prostate glands has not been mastered by many urologists. Some urologists are clumsy in getting the prostate fluid out.
Since it is very difficult to isolate some very common microorganisms such as Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma, many lab tests done in prestigious laboratory testing centers for prostatitis are not reliable. Add to the problem is the incorrect approach to get the EPS for testing, so there is a big problem for prostatitis patients to easily get an accurate and reliable lab testing services.
So the next time when you need a lab test, make sure the doctor get the EPS from you and also other semen too. How do you know the doctor got the correct technique? You will notice a tiny bit of prostatic fluid out of the urethra when squeezed.
