Prognosis of Prostatitis

Acute Prostatitis vs Chronic Prostatitis

Prostatitis in acute stage and chronic stage has a big difference on the time required, difficulty level to cure, and chances of a cure.

Treating acute prostatitis is much like treating UTI, where you could take oral antibiotics to get a cure. If properly medicated with prolonged time and overdose, the chance for a cure is very high.

For some acute prostatitis patients who seek treatment from us directly once they found symptoms of prostatitis, the treatment could be as short as seven days. These prostatitis patients have made the quick move but many more were not quick enough until they ran out of hope on oral antibiotics.

The acute cases in our center is a small number and the absolute majority are chronic cases. Chronic prostatitis is an headache in many specialized treatment centers and the cure rate is very low.

If you are in the stage of UTI or acute prostatitis, it would be a safe move to have prostatic injections before bacteria become stubborn.
