Mixed Infection vs Simple Infection
Prostatitis with mixed infections are a lot harder to treat than prostatitis with only single bacteria.
Mixed infection means the microorganisms are found with one or more group of microorganisms. They are grouped as Bacteria, Mycoplasma/Ureaplsma, Chlamydia, Yeast/Candida, virus.
A prostatitis patient has got them from each of the above groups, particularly the Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma group, this type of prostatitis is the most difficult group to treat and require more time and efforts. The resistance of Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma are much stronger than bacteria of other groups.
A prostatitis patient has got mixed infections from only the bacteria group, such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, corynebacteria and Chlamydia, have a much higher cure rate than Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma group. The number of bacteria present don't add to the treatment difficult level as the medicine of our treatment acts extremely well on bacteria of this group.
Yeast/Candida Infection usually comes with other bacteria infection and affects some prostatitis patients. It is generally not the focus of our prostatitis treatment as we could easily treat yeast infection with ease.
Viral infection usually comes with other bacteria infections too. 15 days of Intravenous drip and 30 days of injections are able to get rid of virus without much difficulty.
In summary, according to our statistics on thousands of prostatitis visits, mixed infections with mycoplasma and ureaplasma are the toughest cases and have a unpredictable traits to our treatment although most of them are cured. The other groups are generally a routine for our doctors.
